I want to take this time to thank the team at Ellis and Walters Dental Care for saving my teeth.
Both my parents had to have dentures while they were still in their 40’s. I returned to Laurel from Pensacola, Florida when I was 40 in 1990. I had already lost one tooth in Florida and I was afraid I was following in my parents’ path. Also, I was unaware that I had a gum problem. My Floridian dentist was not proactive in that way.
However, during a routine dental exam at this clinic, I learned that I had advanced gum disease and that I needed to start on an aggressive regimen to save my teeth. Fifteen years later, I still have my pearly whites and my symptoms have been kept in check. I attribute this to their expertise and efficiency in their approach to this chronic condition. It is also heartening (literally) to know that catching and treating gum disease early can help bypass the link that untreated gingivitis can have to heart disease.
My dental hygienist Vicki Hatfield is a true professional. I trust her with my smile. I actually look forward to our visits. She has been focused on saving my teeth for 15 years. I believe they mean as much to her as they do to me and I appreciate that.
Doctor Ellis and Walters have both offered their respective expertise in planning and implementing my treatment and have each performed root canals that were as effortless as tubing down Black Creek. (I really like the gas.) I have never had any problems with any of these procedures. They also call in the evening of the procedure to be sure that the patient has not developed any problems. You know you won’t have to run them down if you do.
I have cosmetic plans for my teeth in the future. I have complete confidence in a good outcome and at a reasonable cost.
May I had that the entire staff is friendly, supportive, and very professional.
Sincerely,
Deborah Herrington
