Meet Dr. Fred I Walters
Since beginning my career at Ellis & Walters Dental Care 15 years ago, I have greatly enjoyed seeing the transformations that occur in my patients after their procedures and treatments. Seeing someone beam with confidence after seeing their new smile is always a rewarding and gratifying experience. Practicing dentistry is one of my greatest pleasures in that it allows me to combine my talents, art and the science of dentistry.
I enjoy the gifts and talents I have, as well as all the gifted team members I have the pleasure to work with on a daily basis. Working with so many unique people affects my life in more ways than I could have imagined. We are fortunate to have a well-rounded and skilled team who can offer the best dental care to our community. Our team cares deeply for one another and takes pride in delivering high-quality care and service to patients.
It is wonderful to meet a variety of people and help them to maintain their overall health, as well as oral health. I truly care about each individual I treat and cherish the personal relationships I have cultivated over the years. I am most passionate about treating each patient who walks through our doors as a unique individual, with the same level of care and compassion I would expect for myself and my family. Since I like being able to fix problems, I love being able to restore unhealthy mouths and keeping healthy ones in tip-top shape.
Our patients deserve nothing but the best, and in order to provide the highest quality of care for them, I stay up-to-date on the newest, most advanced technology and treatment options available in dentistry. I take many hours of continuing education on an annual basis in an effort to provide a full range of dental services. I am currently taking a year-long residency for implants and am a proud member of the American Dental Association and Mississippi Dental Association. I obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of Southern Mississippi and subsequently completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Tennessee’s College of Dentistry.
Outside the Office
A native of Petal, MS, I reside in Laurel with my wife, Ginger and two sons, Sam and Charlie. We have three pets who keep us busy, Ruby the dog and our cats, Whiskers and Boots. When I’m not working to help my patients realize the smile they've always wanted, I enjoy golfing and reading.
I am passionate about freedom to enjoy family, life, and serving my neighbor, and also believe strongly in giving back to my community. An active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, I also volunteer for Mission at the Cross and support, as well as sponsor the local Relay for Life.
